May 23rd and the Band Concert on Thurs. May 24th. Everyone is trying to get dinner in before or after these concerts, so we have just made it easy for you!  Bring your family to dinner at TL and enjoy your concert as well – no muss, no fuss and you all get a fun dinner!

However, you must order your dinners ahead of time so please don’t miss out …. fill out the form, attach payment and turn it in to your Advisory or Cori by Thursday, May 17th.

And don’t forget to stop by the bake sale for a sweet treat as well!

Thank you for your generosity, time, and good cheer each day to make us feel special. The breakfasts each morning with an abundance of fresh fruit, bagels, donuts and hot coffee really was a treat. The lunch from La Corneta was delicious and appreciated. The posters and gift cards truly made every one of us feel truly appreciated and grateful to work and serve the children of this community. From every TL staff member; thank you!

Gym. All 5th Grade students and the  Voicebox Choir will perform this evening. The Call time for students to arrive and check in that evening is 6:45pm for the 5th Graders and 6:30 for the Voicebox choir. The attire for the concert is:

  • 5th Grade- black bottoms (pants, skirts, tights, etc.) and red, white, and/ or blue on top (patriotic colors)
  • Voicebox Choir- black bottoms and white tops.

We will be singing songs that we have been practicing all semester long. One song in particular, we pay tribute to all those who are serving and have served in our armed forces. I have encouraged the students to bring in photos of any family members or friends they know so we can celebrate them during this tribute. Please have your student bring them into their 5th grade teacher. They will be returned after the concert but I would suggest making a copy of any that are particularly sentimental. We will be recognizing those in the audience that evening so they are encouraged to wear their uniform. This always means so much to the kids as well as myself.

The 8th Grade Class will be doing a bake sale during our intermission. There will also be an opportunity to sign up for the Voicebox Choir that evening.

Please keep in mind that it will be a busy week for some of these students. May 23rd is the Orchestra Concert and May 24th is the Band Concert.  Please plan homework, projects, and extracurricular activities with this in mind.

It has been such a pleasure to teach your kids this year. See you at the concert!

5th grade families: (incoming 6th graders) If your child is interested in playing TLC sports in the Fall we have the following sports available:
Co-ed Golf, Co-ed Cross Country, Girls Volleyball.  Check out the Timberwolvesathletics.com website for forms/links to paperwork and other related information.  Questions? Email Karen Boe.  If your daughter is interested in playing volleyball in the fall and has never played it is a good idea to look into camps over the summer.  There is a tryout in the Fall and for best chances to make the team, having a general foundation will help.

On Wednesday, May 23rd, the Symphonic Band and Symphony Orchestra will perform. On Thursday, May 24th, the String Orchestra, Concert Band, and Jazz Ensemble will perform. Each program will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at carlmontmusic.com or the evening of the concert. Box Office will open each night at6:00 p.m and only cash or check will be accepted at the box office. Tickets prices are: Adult $10, Student (H.S.) and Senior $8, and Child (Middle school & younger) $2. Get your tickets early as these concerts have sold out in the past.

This is an annual event that raises money for Scholarships for deserving San Carlos Students. We expect 700 participants this year. The race starts at 8:30 from the Burton Park turn around. Please see our website to sign up on-line or print out an application. Early registrants receive a discounted rate if received by May 17.
