Middle school is a time of huge changes. In addition to cognitive and physical growth, middle school students are honing their social and interpersonal skills. As you might remember from your own middle school years, this part can be hard!
Learning how to work cooperatively, build strong relationships, and deal with challenges is just as important as
academic success. Mastering these social tasks prepares your child for high school and beyond. The San Carlos
School District is promoting social/emotional growth district-wide by exploring nine Life Skills this year.
These skills are vital to student confidence, character and a strong middle school community.
