  • Freshman Parent Information Night: Tues., August 14, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
  • Early-Bird Picture Day: Wed., August 15, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Student/Parent Mandatory Registration Check-In Day (all grades): Thurs., August 16, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Freshman Orientation & BBQ: Tues., August 21, 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • First Day of School: Wed, August 22 – start time 8:53 a.m. (late start day)

IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED REGARDING STUDENTS NOT ATTENDING CARLMONT

If your child is currently registered for fall 2012 at Carlmont, and has decided to attend a private high school instead, please contact your middle school office and our Carlmont Registrar, Sue Alvarez, at 595-0210, ext. 3208.  This will allow us to open up a space to a waitlisted student.

ADDRESS VERIFICATION FOR ALL INCOMING STUDENTS 

The parents of ALL incoming students MUST provide proof of residency documents to verify their permanent address. These documents must be submitted, in-person, before the beginning of school at the Sequoia Union High School District office, located at 480 James Avenue, Redwood City, CA 94062. STUDENT REGISTRATION FOR STUDENTS FROM PRIVATE OR NON-FEEDER SCHOOLS

New students from private or non-feeder schools will be registered in early May. Please contact our Registrar, Sue Alvarez, at 595-0210, ext. 3208, for a registration packet and to make an appointment for a placement test. New 9th grade families for next year must complete address verification at the district (see above).

CARLMONT ATHLETICS TRYOUTS & ATHLETIC/ACTIVITY CLEARANCE PACKETS www.carlmont.seq.org (Athletics section)

If your student would like to participate in a fall sport (tryouts may take place this spring), please visit the Carlmont website for up-to-date information regarding tryouts and the required Athletic/Activity Clearance packet.

  • Annual Dance Show – May10, 11 & 12 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Spring Choral Concert – May 17 & 18 at 7:00 p.m.

  • Drama Showcase – June1 at 7:00 p.m. (Studio Theater).

Note:  Your child is not required to audition to participate in any beginning programs. Please check with the appropriate Performing Arts staff or visit the website to inquire about auditions for:

Band/Orchestra:  John DaBaldo, jdabaldo@seq.org 

Choir:  Genevieve Tep, gtep@seq.org. Email Mrs. Tep before March 28 to request an audition time slot for the 2012–2013 school year. No audition is necessary for Women’s Choir or Men’s Choir.
