Dear Tierra Linda Families,

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I have a message I am asking you to share with your students who ride the SamTrans bus. When waiting for the bus please make sure that they know they should not be standing on private property. There are some bus stops in the city that are directly in front of private property. Students waiting for the bus should always stay on public property. If you drop your student off at the bus stop, please be sure that you are not blocking driveways, or parked on private property at anytime. We want to be good neighbors.

For those of you who drop students off on Dartmouth, Club or any other off campus locations please remind your students to cross streets at crosswalks and with green lights only when walking to school.

Upcoming PE Activity

For the third year in a row, members of the San Jose Spiders professional Ultimate team, along with players of the San Francisco based team,  SF Flamethrowers, will again be hosting a clinic on Friday, Feb 17th during the school day.  Students will have the opportunity to run through Ultimate drills and speak with these players during their PE classes.  The Spiders and Flamethrowers are part of the AUDL (American Ultimate Disc League) which has 4 divisions and 26 teams throughout the country, coast to coast.  The Spiders were the 2015 AUDL Champions.

The league has partnered with E.R.I.C. (Early Recognition Is Critical), a group that uses the Ultimate teams and Spirit of the Game mentality to teach youth about cancer symptoms, the importance of an active lifestyle, and to speak up when something is wrong.
